Miguel is an award-winning Director of Photography with over 20 years experience in Brazilian and international film and television industry as Director of Photography in Feature Films, Documentaries, Television Series and Commercials. Experienced with the latest camera systems Miguel has been shooting in almost fifteen countries around the world.

Born in Uruguay (1971) and raised in France, Miguel got his Degree from the San Antonio International Cinema School in Cuba (1999). Since 2000 Miguel lives in Rio de janeiro, Brazil.

At this day Miguel has completed six feature films, thirty documentaries and more than fifty commercials. He works usually with some of the biggest names in Brazilian cinema, including Eryk Rocha (Cannes best documentary award with “Cinema Novo”) , Katia Lund (co-director of the film “City of God”), Petra Costa (Oscar nominated with “The edge of democracy”), Geraldo Sarno (Cinema Novo director) , Paschoal Samora.

Miguel has a passion for visual storytelling, drawing on experience from every shoot, he enjoys developing strong collaborations in all his work.

Shooting commercials, some of the companies that he has been working for are: Nestlé, Santander, Bradesco, Itaú, Volkswagen, Ambev, Marfrig, Vale, Bic, Riachuelo, IBCC, Animale.

Miguel owns a little film service company since 2010 that is based in Rio de janeiro and counts with a complete shooting equipment and specialised crew producing documentaries and commercials.

Miguel speaks: French, Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Miguel is an award-winning Director of Photography with over 20 years experience in Brazilian and international film and television industry as Director of Photography in Feature Films, Documentaries, Television Series and Commercials. Experienced with the latest camera systems Miguel has been shooting in almost fifteen countries around the world.

Born in Uruguay (1971) and raised in France, Miguel got his Degree from the San Antonio International Cinema School in Cuba (1999). Since 2000 Miguel lives in Rio de janeiro, Brazil.

At this day Miguel has completed six feature films, thirty documentaries and more than fifty commercials. He works usually with some of the biggest names in Brazilian cinema, including Eryk Rocha (Cannes best documentary award with “Cinema Novo”) , Katia Lund (co-director of the film “City of God”), Petra Costa (Oscar nominated with “The edge of democracy”), Geraldo Sarno (Cinema Novo director) , Paschoal Samora.

Miguel has a passion for visual storytelling, drawing on experience from every shoot, he enjoys developing strong collaborations in all his work.

Shooting commercials, some of the companies that he has been working for are: Nestlé, Santander, Bradesco, Itaú, Volkswagen, Ambev, Marfrig, Vale, Bic, Riachuelo, IBCC, Animale.

Miguel owns a little film service company since 2010 that is based in Rio de janeiro and counts with a complete shooting equipment and specialised crew producing documentaries and commercials.

Miguel speaks: French, Spanish, English and Portuguese.
